It is a 5 minute drive from the majestic walls of Lucca and under 30 minutes from Pisa International Airport. Walking around Lucca it is not hard to see why it has been dubbed the �city of 100 churches�. Of particular note are the Cattedrale di San Martino and the museum housed within it and San Michele in Foro with its dramatic pisan architecture. We would recommend visiting Museo Nazionale Villa Guinigi and Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Mansi. Other must see attractions include the incredible Piazza dell�anfiteatro, a large oval piazza just off Via Fillungo (the main city street) that was originally a Roman Ampitheatre and today houses mainly cafes, restaurants and shops, Piazza Napoleone, Luccas principal square where the palace of Elisa, sister of Napoleon is located, and Torre Guinigi, one of the two towers you can climb in the city to get a magnificent view of Lucca. This one is especially unique as it has oak trees growing on top if it! For a visitors perspective on these attractions see here. Another must see when visiting Lucca are the stunning gardens. Some of the best include Orto Botanico Comunale di Lucca, the oldest botanical gardens still in operation (founded in the 1820s) and home to great many rare and interesting plants, Palazzo Pfanner, and Villa Bottini. There is a gym with professional LifeFitness equipment in one of the farmhouse outbuildings furnished with a multi-region DVD player and ipod docking station. Within Casa Boccina Estate, we provide table tennis, outdoor chess, table football, and 25ft trampoline. At the far end of the estate, set in a grove of trees, there is a fabulous children�s climbing frame. In front, a large porch creates a shady area for dining. Inside, you will find a large inviting entrance hall leading to the main lounge with a fireplace, a games room with a pool table, a large fully equipped kitchen/diner, utility room and shower room. Upstairs there are three double rooms (two with four poster beds), two twin rooms (one with bunkbed), a full bathroom and a shower room both newly refurbished with marble walls and Phillipe Starcke suites. English SKYTV is provided together with multi-region DVD and video facilities. Satellite broadband is available at an extra cost.
