Il Borghetto is an ancient villa dating back to 1300, owned by the Royal House of the Savoia family. It is situated in a beautiful hillside position 4 km from San Gimignano.
It is made up of the manor villa and its annexes.
Some apartments have been created from the attentive and recent restoration of the actual owners. All apartments have been tastefully and elegantly furnished and equipped with all the modern conveniences: cable TV, telephone, air conditioning/heating, fully equipped kitchen.
At the guests' disposal: equipped outdoor areas, beautiful and panoramic swimming pool, a laundry room in a common area, parching area.
Il Borghetto offers the possibility to dine three times a week in the magnificent gardens or else by candlelight in the romantic cellar to taste traditional Tuscan dishes, with home-made recipes, accompanied by wonderful local wines and our own fragrant extra-virgin olive oil.

from the North:
take the A1 motorway from Florence toward Rome , exit at Firenze Certosa, take
the
Florence-Siena superhighway for Siena. Exit at Poggibonsi Nord and at the roundabout follow
the
signs for San Gimignano. At the next roundabout continue to follow the signs for San Gimignano
and
travel 4 Km on the SP 1. Turn right at the sign indicating CORTENNANO - PIETRAFITTA and
continue for
exactly 2 km on this dirt track until the entrance to the property "IL
BORGHETTO" on your
right hand side.
from the South:
at Siena, take the
Florence-Siena superhighway toward
Florence and exit at Poggibonsi Nord, at the roundabout follow
the signs for San Gimignano. At the
next roundabout continue to follow the signs for San Gimignano
and travel 4 Km on the SP 1. Turn
right at the sign indicating CORTENNANO - PIETRAFITTAand
continue for exactly 2 km on this dirt
track until the entrance to the property "IL
BORGHETTO" on your right hand side.
The Villa is surrounded by a large park with secular Cypress trees where the guests may stroll
through vast green areas abounding with plants, colourful flowerings and typical scents. To further
relax in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, the guests may also enjoy a pergola with wrought iron
tables and chairs and a large swimming-pool with a magnificient view.
Thanks its central position in the heart of Tuscany Il Borghetto is an ideal starting point for
those guests who want to discover the most beautiful and evocative places this region has to
offer.
The most important cities and provinces of the arts, such as Siena, Firenze, Lucca, Arezzo
and Cortona, Pisa, Pistoia with their piazzas, streets, museums, represent a fascinating stage for
art lovers.
These towns are all at easy drive from Il Borghetto, being 1 hour maximum by
car.
Moreover in a day (or less) the following excursions can be achieved.
The accommodation is divided into apartments of different sizes and typology to better satisfy
the varying needs of the guests.
