Tuscany (Italian: Toscana) is one of the twenty regions of Italy. It has an area of 22,990 km² and a population of about 3.6 million inhabitants. The regional capital is Florence. Tuscany is known for its landscapes and its artistic legacy. Tuscany is a charmed land, equally blessed by the genius of man and nature, and often by the combined efforts of both.
